Opinions on the invidia q300

Two suggestions for your Q300 when it arrives:
1. Leave the stock cat on the car
2. Give the exhaust several hundred miles to break in
I've run about 10 different exhausts and I think the Q300 is second best. With the stock cat it has a nice deep sound, no drone, large diameter piping for good flow, and the sound is consistent from cold to hot. Quality, fitment and adjustability are all good. It's a little heavy but that makes it very durable. I personally don't like shiny/polished cans so I painted mine with high temp satin black BBQ paint. Pricing is very good.
My Amuse Ti dual sounds better, but at a big difference in cost.

I've had a dual q300 on my car for a few hundred miles now. It has some nice growl and rasp to it (more audible with the top down) but there is drone on the highway. Between 3-4k rpms it is pretty bad when laying into the throttle a bit. Above or below those rpms it is fine though (or just cruising in that range with minimal throttle). I've had a Greddy tic single on my car and that exhaust droned much more then the q300. That thing had a deep drony sound throughout the entire rpm range except vtec. I like the higher pitched/more racy sound of the q300 much better. It also seems like it has gotten quieter with time or I just lost some of my hearing lol. Either way, it's an awesome exhaust.

Thanks for the advice s2ka. I def plan on keeping the stock cat on and not putting a test pipe on. Ive seen the cans painted black and think they look really good. I might do that actually. Its not to difficult to do is it? Since im daily driving my car I dont want something thats going to be extremely loud. ayellows2k thanks for your input and im hoping it got quieter and you didnt lose any hearing lol. I dont mind a little drone, now my gf she might but she will get over it lol. Thanks for the replys!

I opted for the Q300. Was wanting something with more nuts than stock box when giving it the beans. Drove one with it on and TP, throttle response more noticeable too. Went for the rolled stainless steel tips to keep the OEM look (hate the tin can look exhausts)
Ordered on the 24th, and here this morning......and look where I live!! Well impressed. Now to getting in on!
