painting poly lip.......

Default painting poly lip.......

i wanna paint my ap1 poly replica lip silverstone but i had a few questions, first what is a good site to get oem paint in a spray can, second what type of prep work should i do being that is poly or should i just clean and paint thanks.

I am going through the same process right now... what i am going to do is spray it first with sand-able primer in a can.. then wet sand it with like 400 .. then spray it with what ever paint you plan on useing.. I have a gun with air compressor i dont kno if i would spray with a can... But then again the best option would be going to a paint shop and have them do it but who wants to spend all that money

I would take it to a shop. It's not going to come out of the can the same color as your car. Unless you are familiar with color matching I wouldn't do it.

I'm sure you can get that lip painted under 200.

you mention replica and you probably need to block and skim it, if you don't know what i am saying, you are better off sending it to a shop unless you really want it to look...um..."low cost"
