parts needed to drift?

i personally dont have any track experience, but for the track ive always heard N/A is better than FI if you have the same HP amount, because of the turbo lag, so I would assume S/C would be better because theres no lag

Don't buy anything at all, wait til it rains, find abandoned parking lots and learn how to get some angle with the car, all low speed of course, and stay far from curbs haha. Then autox will teach you lots about car control as well, took me an entire season to be able to do 5/6 runs without spinning and get decent times. Track is a whole other world, very demanding of the car, I say build up to it with the previous mentioned. I learned to drive on the street so these are just my opinions.

I agree w/ the Silvia Idea...
instead of investing a whole lot of money for the S to get sideways and burn a lot of tire...
save up a few Gs and get a 240 w/ an SR...
My buddy just bought a 95 S14 w/ an SR for $4000...no joke...
Good Luck

listen, do what you want with your car. RSR has an s2000 drifter. not a big deal. just because you don't see many doesn't mean it can't work. it lacks the torque to drift well but you can always fix that by building the engine better, i.e. turbo/supercharger and get the torque. as for a suspension set up you'll probably want coilovers, better brakes, tires, reinforced differential, stronger clutch.

RSR HAS DONE IT:
AEM HAS DONE IT:
ASM/GTWORKS HAS DONE IT:
from what i remember all have removed the electric steering of the s2k and replaced it with a modified rx7 steering rack. its doable but be prepared to spend some money...

same as s2k isn't a drag car although thiers people in the 9's. If you can afford to repair it every time you take it out then have at it but if not then go buy a 240 for cheap

no parts needed unless you want to drift at 100mph+
Like ppl said, cheap tires. i will need an upgraded clutch after a few more rounds.
Upgrade the driver, not the car.

Yes, it's amateur. But what if you or I practiced everyday.
Absolute stock with 100k miles on it. Only thing not stock is the tires which are cheap.
Everybody says get a 240sx. So many of them. Why not try in s2k? Everyody says its hard or not possible without spending $$$$. Practice it stock, It will make you look that much of a better driver. Don't be a ricer!
Good luck! And be safe. don''t do this shi...stuff on public roads and kill somebody....leave that to the ricers.
