even so... you gotta realize that was marketing. Being a mechanical engineer i know that one change leads to a different change. for example. changing one angle on the rear subframe would have led to changing another angle and so forth. so in reality, one over all change could be considered to have 10 or 11 minor changes which could be added up to the "over 2000" changes.


just my .02 no matter what, i agree with the statement that its ridiculous to list all of the things that stayed the same.. or changed for that matter. check part numbers or look for ap1 or ap2 specific parts.

 

I think the OP's point was that it's tough to think of any parts that weren't changed on the car since it was released in 2000, not necessarily a request for a list of all parts that have changed. There were a lot of changes over the years, it took me a while to come up with my list. Totally forgot about the antenna. Didn't know the dash itself was changed, but the part numbers are different, not sure what they changed or why.

 

list would be smaller if you indicated the different part numbers.

 

My point in starting this was that many parts have changed in each update such as the jump from 00-01 to 02-03 or from AP1 to AP2. What I found interesting is that this part was used on ALL S2000's including the CR - as I marked above several of these parts are not on the CR.
Most everyone can quote some of the changes from a 2 year cycle to another like the silver rings on the brake lights on the 02-03 that were missing on the 00-01. But I never hear about what parts are common across all S2000's. I was seeing if others had found one of those parts they did not realize was common across all S2000's regardless of MY or trim.

I am at a loss as to why this is so surprising. After all the car does look relatively the same.

 

It'd be shorter to ask for a list of what's different lol
