I searched and searched but couldnt find any reviews about these snorkels with the oem airbox. For you mod gurus please enlighten me.

PS.also looking for front of car pics of ap1 with these snorkels installed.

Heres my replica spoon snorkel with a gutted air box and a k&n filter, as far as reviews; the install was super easy, rubs my hood a little bit, it looks cool, and i have no idea about any performance gains.

And if you mean "front" as in looking at the grill, you can hardly tell its there.

No hood Cutting required.. if theres no hood cutting required i dont see how it can be effective.. the snorkel is pinched.. I would however consider it an upgrade over OEM but i think a CAI or even FIPK would be more effective. my 2 cents

 

Second setup i went with.. i personally thought it felt and sounded better.. I custom made a bracket that fit over the spoon snorkel


Current setup is AEM CAI.. which to be honest probably feels a little better then this ^ setup but now i dont have the piece of mind driving in the rain but w/e
