It is really needed once you get boost. NA imo it is overkill but will still get you the biggest gains but up to you if it is worth it. If you are going to go fi later on then if you have the money might as well get it now and not need to later on.
One of if not the best tuner is in PA, Evans Tuning, also a sponsor on here. If you get an AEM EMS definitely go to him!

If your interested in superchargers at all they are pretty sweet, less money and more reliable. Just another option. I love the feel of my vortech even at stock 7 lbs of boost!

Vortech and SOS at 10-12 psi will get you 400whp and be reliable if done correctly. They are centri superchargers so build boost with rpm. max boost will always be at redline with them so keep the same feel as stock just with lots more hp everywhere.

You can get a used Comptech supercharger non aftercooled for a little over 2 thousand probably. Get a clutch and wideband and can run it on stock boost or even 7 lbs without anything else and be good to go. If you want over 7 lbs of boost you will need injectors engine management and a tune.

Well thats not bad at all and a whole hella lot cheaper ill be looking into that didnt like dropping 5k just for one part haha i dont need to be a f1 just want to have enough kick to shut some of those bitches up on the road
Now if i was reading right the VAFC you can work with your vtec engagement point right? can i get that along with the AEM or do they both work the same way i never got a chance to read anything up on the AEM i saw 1500 i was like yeah haha.

Yes vafc can adjust vtec point as well as remove fuel to lean things out if running rich like AP1's do. For an AP2 as someone else mentioned I wouldn't waste my money on a vafc.
AEM EMS can adjust vtec and everything else. It is a full stand alone ecu that can fully tune everything. fuel, timing, vtec, redline etc. It does it all.
Can find them used for around $900. Tuning is expensive for it, about 600 but is a full days tune to make the car run better than stock even if turbo or sc'd.
Vafc is just a piggy back system. It can only remove fuel and adjust vtec. AEM EMS replaces the oem computer.
