There is not crush washer but the donut washer could have gone bad...you may want to replace that. How tight did you bolts the spring bolts?

i know this is probably bad, but i tqed them as tight as i can, I have done that with every car i have had when I first put on a part. Then after a couple days of heat and cooling, i tq them down to spec. But i just ordered a new doughnut washer. i hope its the right one, 30 bucks from honda, so ill redo everything this thursday

I installed a Berk TP three weeks ago and I've got a small leak between the TP and header as well. As far as I know, this is probably because I tightened one side of the flange completely before tightening the other side. I should have alternated from one side of the flange to the other while tightening.

Also, overtightening those springbolts is impossible... unless of course you tighten them enough to snap them.

Once "B" (the round seat on the bolt) has come in contact with the header flange, the spring will be properly tensioned. IIRC, you cannot tighten "A" to tighten the spring tension. The only part of the springbolt assembly that can be tightened is "C"

heres a pic...
