My buddyclub spring rates were 10k/14k.

Also project22a if you could just give me a quick comparison between stock suspension and your pss9 that would be helpful as well. As far as stiffness and handling.

the KW's have a VERY WIDE range of adjustability. you can make it rattle your brain out, or have it pretty soft. i only have mine set about 1 click higher than the recommended settings and it is pretty stiff. the kw's are also compression/rebound adjustable separate from each other which is a plus. i cant really comment on the other as i have not had them before, but from previous readings it is known to be that they are softer than the kw's
honestly... when i bought my car my springs were cut a LOT. my rocker panels were 3.25" off of the ground (a pack of smokes could not fit under my car!) and the pss9 @ 6/6 are a bit softer than basically riding on the bump stops...

people saying pss9 are floaty or soft either have them set on 9/9 or they think super stiff jdm bullshit is ideal.

Ok. yeah after having high spring rate JDM coilovers on my RSX type-s i dont want to deal with that again. Leaning towards pss9.

I would probably be running 6/6 as well with the pss9.

Anyone go from stock ap2 suspension and goto pss9?

PSS9s set at 5frnt 6rear...

My girl won't ride with me... but then again she was always hitting the passenger side "brake" and kinda freaking me out.

(LA roads do suck worse than almost any third world country I've driven in - and I've gone through a couple of passport books so far...)

the kw v3 doesnt have a super stiff spring.. read up on it. it just has a GREAT shock with a wide range. im not saying that it needs to be super stiff to be good, but if you plan on tracking it, and run R compound tires, im pretty sure the kw's will out perform the pss9's.

at this point for your use, either one would work. but i believe you can go further with the kw's.

azepeda926 how is the comfort. you said it was pretty comfortable.. Does it ever get annoying driving around town. I agree the KW is a better track coilover. And the spring rates are not to high. The roads around where i live are pretty annoying. I'm not going to slam the car. maybe 1 finger gap. Just wondering if it gets annoying on bad roads, which is a lot of my roads.

I have Pss9's and I think their great. Very nice ride for street (no bounce) and very capable of track time with street tires. I ride settings 6F and 8R for street and 1F 1R for track. I would say full soft is slightly softer than stock AP1 suspension. Full hard is alot stiffer than stock ap1 suspension.

i have a set of pss9s and i live in ma where the roads are awful. I am quite satisfied with the ride quality and find them to be a good balance between performance and comfort. I would consider the KW if you want to track the car because their range of adjustment will definately prove benificial, but for a street driven car i feel the Pss9s are more than adequate. I must be honest and say I have never been in a car set up with the KW's so I really can't compare but from what I have read they can give a comfortable ride on the street as well. But then again people have different perceptions of what they define as comfortable. I would be eager to see for myself.
