Default PWJDM Intake install question

I was wondering if there was anyone who has advice on installing the PWJDM intake? I'm stuck on the part where the directions say to connect the stock air sensor into the grommet.

It doesn't seem like this would fit. Is there something I'm missing or do you just literally have to force it in?

Much appreciated for all the replies. After I posted the thread I found this little cover that goes over the air sensor which made it fit much better.
