Default question regarding hardtop

i am getting my hardtop install this week by honda. I asked them if they will teach me how to remove and install the hardtop but they said there install people wont have time to do it.

so my question is, how hard is it to remove the top and put it back on after initial installation is installed?
what is the average time to installed the top?
i understand that it takes at least two people to do the process.

Can tell you with exception of requiring 2 people to prevent scratching - the hardtop on Porsche was about a 2 minute operation - the S2000 is much much easier though still would rec using 2 people.

After the initial setup, it literally takes 15 seconds or so to remove it WITH TWO PEOPLE. You could probably manage with just yourself but standing IN your car and walking the top out, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Even the initial installation took about 1.5 hours and that's taking my time. There are several How-Tos on this forum that show you how. Search for them and you'll see how easy it is.

Hope Honda isn't charging much.

Yeah, it takes less than 30 seconds to remove/install the hardtop once the initial hardware installation is completed.
Even the initial h/w installation takes about an hour or so.
You should do it yourself if Honda's charging you much.
