Default Question regarding J's Carbon Air Duct for Type V Hood

Hello everyone,

I am seriously considering purchasing the J's Carbon Air Duct for Type V Hood which has a thicker inlet to allow more airflow. I would like to know if it is possible to fit this air duct with the OEM hood if the underside of the hood is cut/modified, or is a Type V hood absolutely necessary?

Any input would be greatly appreciated. I did search, but could find no specific information.

Thanks,

Joe

I think the type v has the cutout and the full intake fits if you cut the hood, so the snorkel should fit

Thank you. That was also my assumption. Just looking for additional feedback (has anyone tried it?).

The full intake is crazy expensive, this could be my cost effective alternative.
