What can take out of the car to lighten it, make more hp and torque, etc?

Weight, HP and torque are 3 completely different things.

Actually I though about this again. You could drop the whole exhaust to save weight and make power. Your ears will bleed though. Actually thinking about this for a third time, you'd have air running back up the manifold causing the O2 to false read a lean condition. There just isn't enough pipe for the O2 to read accurately.
