Default quieting up a bit

I have a hard top and I love it, but it gets loud, especially the overhead latches. Any ideas or recommendations to tighten them up a bit, add some padding, or otherwise make them a little more quiet?

How about a little sound insolation or vibration reduction in general? I do not want to do a full load of dynamat or whatever but if a few strategic applications made a significant difference I would be interested.

I got some 10mm thick rubber carpet underlay and laid it on the rear shelf (under the folded soft top)
Also removed the boot carpet and laid it there as well including the well in the boot, and under the spare wheel and on top of the fuel tank.

The differences is amazing to be honest, actually quite refined. I have a decibel app on my phone and at 70mph is shows just 62db. highly recommended doing this.
