I'm not saying your wrong. The author of the book that info is from, is an OEM calibrator and aftermarket on the side. I assume he know's his shit.

Well, I believe it would be just as wrong to say 180 F is the optimum coolant temp as it would be to say 30 degrees ignition advance is optimum, or 12.8:1 AFR is optimum, or an 8 heat range plug is optimum for every car.
