Honestly those new GM full camera mirrors with the flip of the mirror switch would be awesome.

I have the 370Z mirror I have been considering adding using the Crutchfield harness but haven't seen the write up on it yet

I used the crutchfield harness. 370z mirror, Amazon camera.

I wired the camera to the reverse light. Monitor wired to under dash reverse signal. Mirror wired to switched ignition power source in under dash fuse panel.

Trying to remember where I got the mirror harness. Had to depin and move some of the wires in mirror connector. Had to figure out what pin on mirror does what function (which was hardest part of whole project). I have that documented somewhere. Will try to find and post.

 

I don't suppose you're thinking of writing a detail post to show how you did it all?

 

I I used a similar product, it does not work with top down as sun washes the screen but you wont need it with a top down. The good is it records front and back. The back up camera is nice when reversing or when in a tight spot.
