What mike21 said... i feel sure that you noticed a difference swapping an old dirty filter for any other clean filter. However slightttt that difference is, its not worth the extra cash. Although i have an fipk and i clean and recharge kit on it and its a little difference

I don't buy it. I swapped in a BPI velocity stack and K&N filter in my box and noticed nothing but very little noise at low RPM's. This is being compared to a very dirty OEM filter to.

Can you clean the OEM filter or do you always need to buy new? I think I am due for one or cleaning. 30k miles and dunno if it has been changed.

You have to get a new one. Mine was VERY dirty when I bought my S. I blew it out with an air compressor. Literally the next week, I ordered an FIPK though

First mod i did to my car was drop in a K&N filter in place of the OEM one. No difference at all, and i was trying so hard to notice a change!

I agree with you

Ran an kn on my old civic for 150,000 pulled the motor the head and IM was in good shape and had good compression.

While I agree it does let in some smaller particles I have yet to ever see or even hear of anyone have an issue even related to it.

I run a kn drop in because im cheap 42 off amazon for the s2000, clean kit is 10 bucks.

With 7 cars I take care of for the family if you fallow the service schedules it saves a lot of cash.
