i just messaged this to the OP and ill share with you guys too....this is the product i used....http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...t=exhaust+wrap

And this is how i did it....Im from illinois...and we have the only jcw outlet in the us ten mins away i went there and picked up a few backs of header wrap i think its called .... ill look and message you back. I followed the instuction over lap the previous layer a 1/4 inch and work your way down...what i did was star at the front runner go down till it meet the other runner and worked my way back up. That was one 15ft roll then did that to the other two runners. Then after that i used another 15ft roll and started where the runners meet and go down the one side of the two big runners then back up the other side of the big runner. jcd also sells stailess steel straps that hold the wrap tight. Header wrap and bands are expensive btw i think i spend like 100 bucks on straps and 3 rolls od 15ft!

Sorry for lake of puncuation im tired it is 1am!

This is a stock header with all brackets ground off....havent had any problems yet and it looks a ton better then before. I dont see how this would cause cracking but who knows...

Do you feel you have gained anything from doing this other then the look? Notice any performance attributes?.

would you guys recommend 1"W or 2"W, im thinking 2" will be better but i dont want to over-do anything. Im about to order the tan 2"W x 50'L. that should be enough for the whole header right? According to ssms2k he used about 45'? I rather have too much than not enough.

2" is going to be hard to deal with getting it clean for the primaries i recommend 1" for the top four runners....

what do you mean by getting it clean? And also will i need the 14" ties to get around the bottom part of the header? or will the 8" ties wrap completely around? sorry to ask so many questions but i appreciate everyones help.

you will need the 14" for the bottom i made that mistake and had to drive back and get them....and with the 1-2" question the wrap is thick and it doesnt like to lay flat...usinig 2 inch for the primaries is going to be hard to make it lay smooth it will want to bunch up alot...the one inch is alot easier to get to lay flat and over lap that 1/4 inch i told you about.
