I have wrapped many headers in my life, but never an S2000 header. So I pose a question to those of you who have had it wrapped for a few years and daily drive your car. Do you notice any corrosion?

I only ask because every header that I have wrapped then drove in the rain a few times has either rusted, cracked or just plain corroded! I even had to use thicker gaskets to create a seal to the heads due to heat warping the headers

So for me, I figured I would stay away from the wrap. I now use ceramic coatings like Jet-Hot.

I use a high heat silicone spray on the header before I wrap and after on the lower section of the header.
I have not had any issue with the header rusting or any other problems. I have dad mine wrapped for a few years now.

Here is a full exhaust I did

That is pretty sweet!!!!!
Did you happen to write up a DIY on it?
What spray did you use?
Did you notice a decrease in cabin noise?
how about under hood temps?

I may change my mind and go this route if it seems to work for you. Do you drive throu rain often?

No DIY but, it is not that hard to do just time consuming.

You want to work from the header to the muffler because, the over laps will be with the forward movement of the car and not going agents it.
On the exhaust posted above I wrapped it wrong

This is the brand of spray I used. It can be found at Advanced Auto Parts, Ebay, and most speed shops.

This is a stainless steel Megan header. It is sprayed black first then wrapped, then sprayed again so water repels off the wrap.

Use good marine grade stainless steel ties to keep things in place.

You will also want to use a surgical mask and gloves when you do the install. The wrap is fiberglass and it will make you itch and irritate your throat.

I live in Florida a semi tropical climate so I get caught in the rain and drive in the rain sometimes.

The biggest reason I use the wrap is sound deadening.
The engine exhaust sound exit
