Default Remark exhaust.

I just threw this on the car, it's much better than the Berks header back that has been on the car for 14 years.

There's some drone at 1600-2000 rpm but it's drone free everywhere else. I have it on the medium setting, exhaust is super quiet compared to the Berks.

I paired it with a 70mm test pipe, so a 70mm test pipe to 63mm exhaust. It doesn't affect power at all. The lip step from 70 to 63 probably creates vortex rings from the exhaust pulses.

I'll throw up some pics tomorrow morning when there's light.

Some crappy pics, fitment was excellent, I didn't even have to waste time trying to align the exhaust to the bumper cut-out. I just tightened the bolts and it fit perfectly.

Thanks for sharing feedback. Not much real life experiences on the internet even though it’s been out for a few years. I’ve been thinking about this exhaust and the Ballade Sports because I’m getting too old for drone.

When you have drone between 1600-2000 rpm, is it by deceleration? Also, is it quiet during highway cruising, can you have a conversation?

By the way, where did u purchase and how much?

It's the normal drone on both accel or decel, but its very mild, in that sense its like the OEM exhaust as it too has its drone in that range but its very mild. In the middle setting there is zero drone at highway speeds. In fact, road and drivetrain noise is louder than the exhaust if you hold the throttle just right.

I got mine from MAP performance. Paid $1,024 plus tax, shipping took 3 days. There are places that have it for a little cheaper but I imagine shipping wouldn't be as fast.

I'm thinking about doing an electronic cut out, that way I can open or close the resonator, and can change noise levels on the fly.

Default Mini review

Hope you all don’t mind my mini review. I had this exhaust for a couple hundred miles. My AP1 has stock header/cat and I’m using the quiet setting.

Both settings might have minor drone/booming at 1600-2000 rpm but I don’t find it as fatiguing as the other drone range mentioned below.

Medium setting:

Loud cold start.

Has minimal/no drone at highway speeds.

Has drone/booming at 3100-3400 rpm which was fatiguing in stop and go traffic.

Noticeably louder in cabin over stock. Might be a little too loud to carry a long conversation.

Very loud when VTEC kicks in.

Quiet setting:

In general a lot more tolerable than medium setting. Once warmed up, exterior idle volume is near stock level. Cold start is still loud. Overall louder than stock.

Summary:

This is a well made single exit exhaust that on the quiet setting is tolerable and enjoyable. In sounds better in person than what you hear in the Remark videos. YMMV with headers and test pipes.

Nice review. Looking forward to learning if it quiets down. This is the single, right? Interesting design
