Once you add the hardtop(42lbs I believe) savings is right around 30-35 lbs, If I remember correctly. A buddy and I removed his softtop and weighed everything out.

That equation only works if you are trying to save weight by getting a hardtop. Not if you are buying a hardtop and have no use for the soft top.
