Default Replacing the Sill Panel

The sill panel on my S2 is all scratched up and I am looking to replace it with a new piece. My question is how do you remove the S2000 logo plate that is on the panel? It looks like a clip on but I am not sure. Anyone knows how the plate comes off?

Thanks

The plastic sill plate is held to the car with plastic retainers, just pry it off.

Once off, the metal plate is held on by two metal spring retainers that go over two metal pins, you have break the spring retainers to get the plate off.

The center part of the metal plate with the S2000 logo is attached by double sided tape.

Thanks for the reply

So I have to replace the metal spring retainers as well and cannot reuse the existing one is that correct?
Secondly, in this diagram My link the retainers you speak of is item 90194-SL0-000 the nut push right?

Correct, you can't re-use them.

You need 2 of item 14 in that diagram for each door sill plate.

You can order just the metal plate if that's all you need to replace.

I ordered the parts from HondaPartsUnlimited and the sill panel finally arrived. To my surprise it does came with the S2000 logo plates already installed. I was expecting just the panel so now I don't need rip apart the old plate. I was always wondering why the plastic panel is so pricy, when you subtract the plate which cost around $100, the panel is really about $30. Wish they'd only sell it on its own cos the plate never really gets scratched and can be reused....

Sorry but why was it a surprise that the S2000 logo plate comes with the sill plate?

Did you not read my post (#2) (or look at the link) where I pointed out they came together when you ordere the sill plate?
