Default RX-8 seats in S2000

I was wondering if anyone knew if the RX-8 seats (black and red) will fit in the S2000? Has anyone done this themselves are heard about it? I peeped inside a nice RX-8 the other day and fell in love with how the seats looked

The RX-8 R3 Recaro seats hug me so perfectly. If they weren't so heavy I'd debate on swapping them into the S.

How difficult would that swap be?

I agree!!

They are very nice and super comfortable. I dont think they will be defficult to do, you just need time to do them. 4 years ago I had a 95'Honda del Sol Si and I came around and bought s2000 seats for the Sol. I tock the whole rails out plus the 2 bolts upper side of each seats(The 2 bolts are the ones that allows you to move the seat back and foward)and they bolt right in. No need to drill or modification what so ever, just like stock. I'm the type of person that don't like to drill and make things to fit or modify.

Anyways good luck if you decide to do it and you can also do a DIY so you can share the love with others

Those latest rx8 recaros are really nice. I wouldn't hesitate to swap them in if they fell into my hands for cheap.

Problem is, I'm pretty sure they are crazy expensive. You could get Brides for cheaper and those can run up to $1k per seat. The Recaros definitely exceed that.

Pretty sure they will cost you a fortune just like how s2k seats will from the dealership. You'd be better off just buying seats from Recaro. Sportster CS looks pretty similar.

Find out the measurements of the seat rails that's the key, but they will be expensive as hell, u will need to find them used. Time to sign up to a RX-8 forum and check once a day as well as eBay. But ull have better luck finding Recaro's

Used to own an RX-8, even up to the point when the R3 came out.

Bad news for ya. Brand new from the dealer, those seats are US$10,000 a piece, thanks to built in airbags and other gizmos.
