Personally I like the K series more than the F series motors, but thats just my opinion. I think a rotary while it may be faster would be a mistake.

I say just boost the F20/22 and call it a day, if its not enough power then build the bottom end and up the boost

Silly...why would I buy a motor that needs rebuilds twice as often as our forged internal motor?
only twice as often? you're either talking a retard-assembled f20/22 or a rx7 engine blessed by god

I would stick with the F20 and a turbo. I sold my civic and RX7 for my S2000 and I do not regret it.

Most rotary owners own them because it's their second car, not their daily. You can buy a 13BT-T for $2000 but that does not include installation and parts swap. Buying one is also a big gamble. If it's imported it might break a seal during shipment. Rotary's are very sensitive and one blown coolant seal would require a complete engine rebuild. Another thing to note.. 13BT-T engines require complete rebuilds every 50,000 miles or so. Those will cost $1200ish in parts alone. They overheat more than F20 engines as well. ^^;

I believe the stock motor only makes about 280 or so as well.. It does not make much. Eventually you would have to upgrade anyways.. And upgrading a rotary is much more sensitive than an F20.

Really, it's your choice. I'm a college student and need a reliable car to drive everyday so I got rid of my RX7. When I'm rich i'll buy another RX7 in a heart beat though. I love them to death but right now it's not the best choice for me. If you have the time check out rx7club.com . You can find all the information you need there. =]
