Default S2000 chipped - where to find the chip?

Hi Guys

My S2000 AP1 was chipped before I purchased it, I wanted to find out what chip it is, where would I look ?

Secondly, since I bought the vehicle, I've installed a decat pipe and K&N FIPK - do I need to do a remap or something? I'm not to clued on what a chip is, and how it works.

Many Thanks

Who ever told you it was "chipped" lied. The s2k can't be chipped and only the MY06+ cars can get a reflash (but still no chip).

You sure? I've spoken to a few people who have something called a Unichip on AP1's?

BTW - I'm from South Africa, maybe the specs are slightly different here?

He only told me well after I bought the car, so he wouldn't of had a need to lie about it.

You can install a piggyback controller, which will allow you to alter what the ECU sees, but you can not "chip" any of the S2000 ECU's.

There is a regular potato Chip located in the engine bay, you should upgrade to a Dorito Chip since you have intake and decat.

maybe he just did it so he felt cool, only can get what was said earlier, piggy back/stand alone/reflash no such thing as a chip for an s2k

Check your IAT sensor for a "chip" (read: resistor in a box).

Unichip is a piggyback system, not a true "chip."

Any idea where I can get more info on a Unichip? Having a bit of trouble finding info on a Unichip and S2000 in google.
