Default S2000 CR shift knob

i was wondering about how big it is compared to oem shift knob? are there any comparison pictures? i was looking at arc ti or t1r shift knobs. i was looking on h and a accessories and was wondering why the 2002 shift knob is so much more expensive? thats the one i have and i think its a tad too big.

My buddy has one in his ap1 in toronto and when i sat in it, it sure felt like my stock ap1 knob. Regardless, go to any honda dealer, they shoudl have them in stock, ask to try one or sit in a cr.

The CR knob is a ball type knob. Many AP1 and AP2 owners have the Voodoo knob that the CR resembles. The stock knob is smaller.

If you're looking for nice ball type knob thats heavy even heavier then the Ti knobs. Look at this

Shift Knob

Great looking knob.

The OEM AP1/AP2 knobs have leather trim, the CR just a plain spun aluminum ball which accounts for the price difference. Diameter wise, the CR is about 1 7/8", the OEM is 1 11/16" at it's widest point but 2 3/8" tall. If you like a lighter knob, the CR is 5 oz. compared to 8.4 oz. for OEM. By comparison the Skunk2 is whopping 15.4 oz.

The CR shift knob is aluminum. It's lighter than the AP1 and AP2 titanium shift knobs. You do not want alumium shift knobs on AP1 and AP2 models, the shift becomes much more notchier with lighter shift knobs.
