Searched for hours, still have questions
either go magnaflow or you can cut the resonator and weld a straight pipe to replace it, it gives a slight deeper tone at low rpm. i have this myself and am pretty impressed with how much the sound has changed
My 2-bits. First, one man's exhaust burble is another's blaring exhaust. ie: I bought an Invidia and took it off the next day. Outrageous head splitting drone in the mid range. Yet, as you can see, a lot of guys love it.
I wound up removing the front resonator, and left the two stock mufflers at the tail. Makes it a little louder. But my muffler guy said that to get a different note, change the tail pipe. Put on the 1 into 2 old school tail pipes which raises the exhaust note a bit. Never liked the sound of huge coffee can "mufflers" on small displacement motors.
Anyway, I am pretty happy with this set up. The tips stick out a little further than I'd like.
