Bumping this thread following the advice of Ckit. I need some insights on any 06+ guys who have installed heated seats? Any modifications to bypass the sensor airbags and such? Thanks guys!

I'm also interested in this mod for MY'06+
I'm guessing the airbag sensor is not moveable in the seat?
Could the heating element lay on top of it?

I would love to run around with heated seats and top down.
the buton placement next to the power plug on the console is sweet.

I too am intensely interested in whether anyone has been able to install these into their +06's . I don't particularly need one but I'm sure the GF would love it on cold nights.

I am taking this back to the top for the 06+ answer. I am searching now and not having much luck. I have seen threads where the shop where people had heaters installed and they would only do the bottom one (under your butt) in the pass side because of a sensor in the top (back) part of the seat, but I am not sure if this is because of misinformation to the shop or if it is really true?

Where is the airbag sensor in the passenger seat in 06+ models? I know there are some on the rails of both seats. And I know the one on the driver side knows how close you are to the bag and deploys accordingly. I need to know can I install the heater into the back rest part of the passenger seat in my 07?

Are the shops just employing the CYA mentality and not messing with something they don't understand or can this not safely be done without disabling the "safe weight" sensor in that seat?

I remember reading in the manual that you could cut into the pad and it'll be fine. Don't remember all of it as it's been a while ago.

I'm looking into it now from a few different places, maybe a possibility of a GB. PM me and I will start a list of local interested people.

Still looking for an answer on the 06+ (mainly 07) passenger seat air bag sensor...

Where is it? Does it prevent installation of the heater pad in the back rest portion of the seat?
