for $200 a seat though, they could fall apart in a year and youd have your moneys worth.

I sent the sponsor an email about the F1 spec type 1 & 2, anyone know if the sparco Evo 2 seats would work or any other options that won't block the glove box, that can fit a 38/40 waist, that will be tall enough for the harness, and that will sit as low as possible?

I have the sparco evo and i love it. I'm 6'4" and i weight 165lb, 32" waist. The evo 2 or evo 3 will be a very tight fit in the s2000 but i have seen an evo2 installed so i know it will fit and i am very happy with mine. I would be shocked if an evo 3 fit though. Everyone comments on how comfortable they are. my father and my coworker both have a 36 waist and they fit snug in the evo, you would deffinately want the evo 2 though if your at a 38 waist. MVP Motorsports has the lowest prices on these seats btw, far below everyone else when i bought mine this spring. there are a ton of pics towards the end pages of my build thread btw. Another thing, you need to trim the shoulder wing on the evo seats, which is easy and really not a big deal (pics in my build thread).
SO a recaro pole position vs sparco evo 2 or something else that would fit. btw when you put in the roll cage did it delete your secret compartment(is that what you meant by mugen roll cage trim). also you did an sweet build with your s, congrats!
Thanks
EZ
Yeah, i deleted my secret compartment with the mugen trim. Thanks for the kind words on my build .

im not sure. i googled "f1spec seat review" and read everything i found.

i think it pretty much said that after a few months, the little plastic recline lever was rattling pretty bad and the seat would slip out of a recline from time to time.
The reclining mechanism isn't plastic or a lever. It's a plastic knob that you twist to adjust the amount of recline, and tbh I'm fairly sure I remember the more expensive brands using a plastic knob as well. They really do seem sturdy and quality, and from what he said in other threads they're built at the same factories as other high-end brands (that could not be named for obvious reasons). I intend to do a full review, because I also did a bit of research before buying and figure it'd be helpful to others on the fens to find it all in one place.

I bought them for the same reason you described -- to put the stockers aside and keep fresh. They have a tiny bit of wear on the driver seat but overall I'd say they're a 9/10. Figure in 20 years I'll pull them out and have one of the few fresh seats

At their website they have dimensions for the seats. Your next best bet is to read through the F1spec thread and see what others have said about it blocking the center compartment. It's a looooooooooong thread, but I found all my questions answered. Also the sponsor may be able to answer your questions.

One thing to take note is that these aren't FIA certified, so you may have trouble using them in some race events. However, from what I read in other threads, he can get the FIA certification for them at an extra cost.

Will do. I know it's not quite the same as a car accident, but I've sat in the seats and pushed against the back as hard as I possibly could without noticing any sort of give. I'm sure a non-reclinable would be even sturdier. Again, the seller claims they're made in the same factory as the more expensive brands and it's possible for him to get them FIA approved for an extra fee. Based on what I've seen so far they seem pretty safe.

Will have review up once I get them installed, which I don't think will happen until the weekend.

Mine came with the rails, which I was not expecting, so I wasted a bit of money on sliding rails that I didn't need to do When I do the review I'll also be comparing them to the Sparco rails that I bought, as they seem exactly the same, but I haven't had the chance to do a very close comparison yet.

Not sure if the non-reclinables come with them, but I would assume so. All you need is the brackets.
