Default Short antennas

what are your experiences with them, does it make it sound even crappier than it already does?
what do you recommend?

doesn't sound crappier, but then again I never listen to the radio in my car. Either off or MP3s. They cost too much is what I recommend.

I had one on my EP3. The reception was definitely worse.

I have one and reception seems about the same. I know it's not any better and might be worse but seems the same to me.

I have one on my car. Definitely not as strong on weaker signals/stations but local stations that had a strong signal before sound just as strong.

i have the spoon antenna on mine. the reception seems about the same on the strong channels like everyone said. I don't normally listen to the weak channels except for the local traffic conditions on AM .

I think it also depends on where you're driving. When I had it on my old EP3, it worked great when I was in upstate NY (i.e. there was nothing around). However, when I drove back to NYC and NJ, I started getting bad reception. When I swapped it back for the OEM one, the reception quality was good again.

Basically, if you don't drive in an area surrounded by tall buildings with many stations broadcasting, you probably won't notice much of a difference.

Alright thanks guys. And as for the person that mentioned the price, your right. But they make like 30 dollar ones so that's not that bad. I wouldn't buy a name brand one just or fear of getting it stolen.

Thanks again guys.

Install an interior antenna that sticks on the inside of the windshield. Then shave off the antenna outside.
