I bought one of those super short ebay ones. 2.5" I think.
Looks good but reception sucks. Never listen to the radio anyways though so was not worried about that.

i got one (that you can have for free lol) that i got off ebay for my gti. was originally 6" but i cut it down to 3" or so. had good reception when i used it on the s2k.

whats weird is that i shaved off my antenna, uninstalled all the wiring and hardware for the antenna, and i still get reception on my radio

my atenna definitely gets a lesser signal than oem

 

yes my ASM one gave me crappier reception.

Yeah never anything I like playing on the radio. I would shave it but don't feel like having it re painted and all. 2.5" antenna is small enough for me.

 

Have an agency power version. Reception worse than stock noticeably. But tolerable. Looks much nicer though
