Skunk2 Ride Height
Hey guys. Well I'm a new S2000 owner and the S that I bought has some Axis Reverbs and is dropped on Skunk2's. It's sitting really really low and lately, I find myself scratching the underneath of my S on alot speed bumps and such. I really have to drive REALLY REALLY slow over them and it's kind of a pain. But I'd really like to keep them on because the car looks really clean dropped with the wheels.
My question is, what is the worse that could happen? How well is the S protected underneath. Are all the drivetrain components pretty much out of the way? Is there any kind of frame protecting them. I think I've memorized all the roads around my area after being so precautious in my driving. So should I stay low and look nice and sacrifice it or go back to stock?
By the way, I love this website. I was looking for S for a while and this forum had alot of useful info that helped me along my way in purchasing this one.

The very worst case is bottom out and crack the oil pan but you'd have to hit a pothole at like 70 a deep one. If you have an aftermarket exhaust it to might get scraped up badly on the underside but if you approach speedbumps slow and sideways not straight your ahould be cool remember S2k's hate speedbumps anyways lol yeah those rims look siick too keep the setup just drive more carefully it should all be good .BTW how do you like the ride? i'm thinking of dumping my S on Skunk2's and leaving the stock rims so I don't have to roll.

Thanks for the input guys.
Heres a little more pictures of it.

hehe, that aint low
Lookls fine how it is man. If its rubbing on the rear fender as said, you can give it a slight roll and bend your front tab (located in middle of fender) back a bit.
As for under car, just slow er down when you see them a coming.
Nice car!

There are members with my lower ride height. Take bumps and ramps at an angle. It shouldn't be too bad since yours isn't slammed, and besides, you memorize the roads around your area. Keep it, unless your really bothered by it, or going slowly-angled on ramps is too much of an inconvenience for you.
welcome btw

your good, skunk 2 springs is IMO a conservative drop hehe. just take the bumps and stuff in an angle and go slow, my car is semi slammed so i do that and on places i cant go (too steep, cray high bumps, i dont go or i take my moms car lol

I love my skunk2 springs, I would only get rid of them to go lower . . but. . .
