Default Spoon Front Bumper: Rep or Authentic?

Hey everyone! So the spoon front bumper has grown on me and the more i look at it the better it looks lol. My question is, is it worth getting the authentic one? Its pretty pricey (GoTuning is selling for 2,255+shipping) considering the J's racing aero kit (front and rear bumper plus side skirts) is only 2800ish. For those who have the authentic or the shine ones, what do you guys recommend? Post pictures if possible thanks!

Considering the real one comes with everything fog lights wiring carbon under tray and it is supposed to fit spot on I would say the real one is worth it. If you add up the rep it is around $1k before shipping with the fog lights and I don't think it has the under tray I think the real one is worth it. You have to understand that bumper comes with a good deal more than most other bumpers. I have the same dilemma but I look at the ASM front and the Spoon front and really battle with which to go with. I love the spoon bumper but the price is intimidating but I know it comes with enough to justify it but that doesn't really make it more affordable.

The shine replica does come with the undertray from what I've seen on some threads. Fitment also seems to be great. Its on my future mod list for sure. I mean I'm sure the authentic is very nice quality just from what I've seen the replica fits the bill for a good bit cheaper.

Yeah you have a good point, there's a lot of stuff that the bumper comes with and the fogs look awesome haha. Fitment was a big consideration because I know certain authentic bumpers (Ex. APR GT) don't fit well, but replicas are hit or miss people say. Then again this is spoon so it has to fit pretty nicely.

I really have not seen enough people running the rep spoon bumper to say either way. I feel like the Spoon bumper is a good deal more complicated than bumpers like ASM or J's and that just makes it more likely to have fitment issues. My thinking is if I buy the rep and then have to pay the body shop to make it fit I should have just bought the real one in the first place. Then I have the real bumper and it fits right instead of having a fake one that ended up costing the same as a real one because of body work. Not saying there isn't a chance of a rep fitting as good as the real one there is just a larger chance of it not fitting as well.

I have an authentic bumper and the fitment is perfect. The shine replica does have differences compared to the authentic bumper. For the most part I've heard the shine rep has decent fitment but there are some cases of it having gaps.

My .02.

Nobody ever regrets going with authentic parts especially when it comes to body parts. You will roll the dice with knock off parts as to whether fitment will be good or if you have to spend just as much money to smooth out the waves and get it fitting correctly.
