Default Spoon Mooncraft Hardtop Question

Why is it that on a couple of sites it says that the Spoon Mooncraft Hardtop is recommended for race use only? It has to be more "safe" than a soft top for street use, and if it's ok on the track at 120+ then wouldnt it be fine on the street?

Site for example:

http://www.jhpusa.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp...&idproduct=3935

At the bottom is where it says race use only.

There are plenty of mods that say for race use, but people still use it on the street.

Well Im pretty sure that there hasn't been much testing done reguarding roll-over safety with the Spoon or Mugen HT's but I for sure this HT is much too noisey for street use. You would still be able to run this on the street if you dont mind the noise

I think a lot of aftermarket parts have that clause "race use only" or "off road use only" for product liability indemnity.

This is the oem hardtop after some cliff diving.. I highly doubt any aftermarket fiber glass or carbon fiber hardtop will take more abuse than the oem.

Another thing the spoon top is quite noisy since its two piece and if you can rig up a latch system for the rear it will make getting in the trunk much easier.
