Just curious...Is that an authentic Spoon bumper? How does the snorkel line up with it?

have you tried adjusting the rubber stoppers? you can turn them to adjust the heights/gaps.
No I haven't, but if I to loosen/raised them, wouldn't it just create a larger gap under my hood?

No, it's not authentic but it has nothing to do with the fitment for the snorkel. It's actually the snorkel itself. There's two different kinds of snorkels, one for the AP1/AP2, and one made specifically for the Spoon bumper (which fits perfectly into the tiny vent above the grille). The one I got, sadly, wasn't made specifically for my Spoon bumper. IMO, it's harder finding one that fits and used because usually people just get the intake system rather than the Spoon snorkel.

It sounds to me that you have a poorly constructed part. You call it a spoon style snorkel, so that tells me it isn't a real spoon snorkel ?. If that is the case you have might have a cheaply made knock-off. Real spoon snorkels will sometimes touch the hood slightly but not as bad as you describe. I run a J's Racing snorkel that is made for the oem hood, and it fits fine with the stock hood. If you have to adjust the hood latch to full high then there is an issue with the snorkel design, and that is the reason the hood has bad gaps. Sounds like all you can do is ditch the part or cut the hood, and readjust the hood latch.

It is a replica, and I'm sure it probably wont fit as well as an authentic snorkel, but I'm positive even the authentics will have problems. I've read around the forums that the only snorkel that'll fit OEM hoods without modifications are the J's. I don't know about poorly constructed, but probably not meant for OEM hoods. And I'm assuming because the Spoon hood has the dent for the snorkel..

We had a local guy here who instsalled the genuine snorkel and his didn't rub...at least until someone pushed his front bumper in (hit and run)...then it started rubbing very bad on the stock hood.

Ah, well so far I got it to fit better. Hood closes with no problems an haven't cut or grinder anything yet. I still would like to try putting rubber tape around the snorkel to keep it in place while it's in the airbox. My hood is still slightly lifted on one side but it's not even noticeable anymore. I'm kinda curious if it's because my snorkel is NOT meant for the actual spoon bumper (If the ap1/ap2 snorkel would make a difference compared to the Spoon snorkel). Thanks again for your guy's inputs
