stock AP1 front sway bar vs CR sway bar
#11
Keep in mind these spring rates are estimates. As far as I know, Honda has never actually published the spring rates, so these are interpolations.
Also, although the CR and 00-01 AP1 front bars are similar thicknesses, the rear bar in the CR is smaller according to the post, therefore the overall balance in the CR would be like the front being much thicker.

hmm, im pretty sure Ap1 fronts are 26.5mm.
If thats the case, then yes it would make a difference. You would decrease the ap1's tendency to oversteer.

I have 255's all around. I personally like my car to oversteer more so.

See the differences here from another thread:
Spring Rates:
00-01 Front: 218 lb/in - Rear: 291 lb/in
02-03 Front: 240 lb/in - Rear: 230 lb/in*
04-07 Front: 256 lb/in - Rear: 207 lb/in*
08 Front: 274 lb/in - Rear 225 lb/in*
08 CR Front 375 lb in - Rear 264 lb/in*
*values based on % change data, as lb/in specifications not provided by Honda
Sway Bars Overall diameter X wall thickness
00-01 Front 28.2mm X T5.0 - Rear 27.2mm X T5.3
02-03 Front 26.5mm X T4.5 - Rear 27.2mm X T4.5
04-07 Front 26.5mm X T4.5 - Rear 25.4mm X T4.5
08-? Front 27.2 X T5.3 - Rear 25.4 X T4.5
08 CR Front 28.6 X T4.5 - Rear 26.5 X T4.5
According to that you won't notcie much difference between ap1 28.2 and CR 28.6

I think it just all depends on how you want your setup. I picked up a 00/01 FSB for my '06 (have yet to install it), but was thinking of a CR rear sway bar. Keep in mind you can get a brand new CR rear sway bar w/ bushings for ~$120 brand new from honda which is comparable to aftermarket sway bars. Not sure why some people charge so much $ for them on here, maybe because people don't know how cheap they are brand new?
