Default Stock shocks specs ap1 to ap2

Are the ap1 shocks rated different than the ap2. Looks like there is more than one part number

they have totally different spring rate so most would assume they have different damper valving as well

that's why it's bad for stock ap2 to run most aftermarket spring, since almost all of them are designed for the rear spring rate biased ap1(early ap1)

Yeah I have a ap2 with tein s-techs now. Looks like I may have a blown shock on the drivers front side but I noticed this before the install. I have a full set of ap1 shocks hanging out in my storage but like you I'm assuming that they are different

So since this is an issue, what aftermarket springs were designed for the AP2 and are best to run w/ the stock AP2 shocks?

^To my knowledge, you can order Swift springs in a custom offset, but none are going to be made soft like AP2 springs. The rule of thumb is that the lower you go, the stiffer the springs must be so you don't bottom out.

I can say that the tein s-tech feel pretty soft and close to stock but I think the stiff spring rates for front and rear are backwards may be if I remember. Anyway back on topic
