Talking T1R 63mm Sparrow Installed

Hey guys, I recently installed the T1R Sparrow that I bought from s2k_4_me (awesome guy). It came neatly packed and was barely used, I took my time installing it and needless to say removing the OEM exhaust was MUCH harder than installing this piece.

Impressions:
It was a little on the loud side for me, I read that this was one of the quieter exhaust w/o much drone but I guess these things are all subjective b/c compared to an invidia....anything can be quite. However, I did compare it with a Toda exhaust that I bought used also, I installed both back-to-back (sorry I don't have vids of the Toda since it was cold as b@lls that day and I just wanted to get them on and off) and the t1r is definitely quieter than the toda. That was the main reason I decided to stick with the T1R. But once I took the T1R out on the road it got really loud near 3k-3.5k rpm, the drone got a little uncomfortable (call me a biach but I can't stand even the slightest of droning ).

BUT, the exhaust sounds so d@mn good in vtec and the rumble it makes during idle is so amazing that I'm learning to live with the slight drone. The exhaust is also very quiet during high speed cruising, at 75mph+, the wind noise easily overpowers the exhaust.

Also, the exhaust just looks dead sexy, the burned Ti tips go great with NFR IMO.

This one is definitely a keeper, so the Toda is going to have to go. I'll have to get measurements with the T1R, but just as a reference to the OEM, I measured 74dB during cold idle with zero throttle and 83dB during 75mph with just enough throttle to keep speed for my OEM exhaust. I'm going to do the same thing with the T1R just to compare.

UPDATE:I got dBA measurements for the Sparrow. a whopping 90dBA during cold idle and at the loudest (drone range) it was ~92dBA. However, on the highway at 75mph, it was 85dBA.
Perfect for me

I also have a short Video that I took during a cold idle, and then it jumps to when the car is slightly warm so not WOT runs here. MAKE sure you're not using laptop speakers, you won't hear the rumble

Here are some pics I snapped a few days after the install.

I only let it idle while my car was on jackstands but yes, noticeably so.

Since the toda I bought was used I assume it was already broken in so I think its fair to say that even then the T1R was quieter (at least idling).

Thanks s2k_4_me,

I got measurements for the T1R sparrow:

90dBA during cold idle, its def loud when cold idling. At the loudest (drone range) it was ~92dBA. However, on the highway at 75mph, it was 85dBA, 2 dBA over the stock, to me thats excellent.
