After a little research though i'd let you know that for a 70mm. the best price seems to be at Vivid Racing.

I'll get a hold of one and let you know later. Thanks again.

I want to update this thread because I purchased and installed the resonated T1R test pipe.

What I noticed immediately (only drove top down for 5 minutes, it was way too cold last night):

-Rasp has been almost completely eliminated
-Volume of exhaust has been toned down, it sounds classy below 6k RPM, still screams above that
-Construction of test pipe is great, it was a little pricey but worth it.

Just wanted to say thanks for updating this UC Gordon. I got a Greddy Ti-C single w/ test pipe and it's way too raspy, droney, whatever you call it- it's like a "booming" sound that makes my eardrums nearly burst.

Anyway, I was thinking about throwing the stock cat back on there but then I came across your thread of the T1R resonated test-pipe.

Did you install the ASM header and exhaust at the same time?
If not, in which way has the header changed the exhaust sound?

Header was installed while I had a Greddy SE Dual installed. It did not change the exhaust note. However, it did introduce louder valve train noise from the engine and also a slight flowing sound from the gases flowing through.

test pipe reduces drone because it flows straight through, cats made a drone because the flow is stopping against it and then filtering thru, making it reverb right under your passenger side floor which is pretty thin if you have ever looked. IE your TINY cabin space becomes a constant drone-fest. test pipe just blows it out the back...

My experience? Berk CC Headers, Berk HFC, Skunk2 duals, all 70mm. Now i have an invidia tp, MUCH quieter for me inside the car, and i don't much care about who ever is behind me for their opinion.

Probably less drone w/ the test pipe, yes... but much quieter inside the car than with the stock cat in place?

The addition of the test pipe in my Greddy Ti-C single made it loud as hell overall, especially when I get on the gas but with a little less drone.

the Ti-C single is always loud as hell, except with installed silencer
it's very close to a 70mm straight pipe, the muffler and resonator are ridiculous small

with the TP you will get less droning in the cabin but not a quieter exhaust

i think the explanation of Importedpower hitted the bull's eye
the cabin noise/droning is made by the restriction (and location) of the cat - it often produces a very painful resonance in the cabin
the outside noise is not as bad as you think when sitting in the car

for example: on the passenger seat in my car the "droning" is much less than on drivers seat - damn..%&*&/()

TP=Less drone but more noise past 4k rpms... a lot more noise.

once i put mine in the drone was just about gone.
but it then became raspy and so loud....
