Default taking off tint

My friend is tryin to take his tint off his car cause it is illegal in virginia. Is there an easy way or a product that can speed up the process. He has spent three hours of his time getting nothing accomplished so far. HAHAHA. Thanks

If he has glass coverage just break his windows. Problem solved LOL. J/K but like everyone said. Good luck with that.

soap + water + spray bottle + razor blades. The trick is to pull the tint off one corner and pull it off fast to the oppisite corner. You may get lucky and not get any glue on it. I used to tint windows.... After you pull off the tint if there is glue on it just spray and razor blade off.

Goo Gone cleaner. Majic American Products Inc. Bedford Heights Ohio.
I purchased this in canada for the removal of the glue after i took the oem tape off from around my windshield. i treated the rubber surfaces before using the googone and kept a supply of soapy water around to clean up the areas not requiring googone.use lots of product to get rid of the residue. it was my 1st time using the product and my windshield hasn't blown away yet. maybe others have warnings about the product that i haven't experienced yet. BTW, does anyone know what VTEC w/out the windshield feels like? will wrap-around sunglasses work until the insurance claim goes through?

i've removed tint from a few cars and the best i've worked with so far is pretty much like wat everyone has said. Have a soapy water mixture, razor blade, and some heat. Comes off pretty easily.

DO NOT USE RAZOR BLADE ON THE REAR DEFROSTER LINE!

now you have been warned, i removed tint a lots of time before.

this is what works best, do the pulling after the car been sat for hour under the sun(or you can use a heat gun), soap it with windex(the one with amonnia ) or what ever cheapest at walmart. if the temp is right you can pull about 70-80 percent of glue off along with the film. all the left over just soap it with windex(becareful with the interior tho), let it sit for 10 minture and take everything off with a blade.

for the rear window/defroster, use the extra fine steel wool, it works excellent.
