Default Tanabe Concept G Fitment

I'm about to pull the trigger on a Tanabe Concept G exhaust, however, every site I look at that has it listed for sale says it will only fit 2000-2005 s2k's. Mine is a 2006 so I am afraid that I could buy an exhaust that doesn't fit properly. Is there really that big of a difference between an 05 and 06? Can anyone vouch for the fitment? I've searched different threads but can't seem to find a solid answer.

There is a slight difference between the floors on the 00-05 and 06+ cars. Sometimes exhausts can contact the heat shielding or something but this can usually be fixed by making small adjustments with the hangers or bolts. I really haven't heard of a case where the exhaust didn't fit at all because of this difference. I am sure there is some example out there but none that come to mind.

Good choice on exhaust. Sound great and holds up. I've had my concept G for about 10 years and a shit ton of miles now. Run it with a TP for best sound and no drone.

Agree on all statements above. I love my concept g! It sounds so good but its also not obnoxiously loud at all!

Tanabe Medalion Touring is also listed for "00-05" and was personally fit on both 2002 and 2006 cars without modification. I see no reason the Concept G would be any different and brackets can be reformed (never bent!) to handle unexpected fit problems, same with the rubber hangers. Is this still produced for the S2000?

Hear this (or any exhaust) before buying. "Not that loud" notes on exhausts here bit me to the extent of several hundred dollars. Don't take my recommendation for the Medalion Touring dual exhaust either unless you hear it for yourself.

Assuming a street car, single exhausts just don't look right on this car.

I just fit a concept G on an 08. It works fine. Tanabe just didn't do any further testing for DBW models, so they never updated their product write up.

Thank you all for the confirmation. Looks like the first mod to my car will be a concept G in the very near future!
