Test Pipe = Bad Sound
#13
I have this same tinny sound with my 60mm test pipe on stock exhaust. I think this is considered "normal" however I find it quite annoying as well. It's really only audible below 4k RPM, but I've grown to hate it.. I've wondered if wrapping the test pipe would have any effect on muting the sound?

So I swapped the factory cat for a hi flow cat, and go figure its right in between. It does not sound as cheap as the test pipe, but it does not sound as nice as the OEM cat.
The best sound (for me) to date is the UK mod with OEM cat.

I purchased and installed the 60MM 1320 test pipe with heatshield cover. I'm running stock header and exhaust along with a comptech intake.
Overall happy with the setup, quality and sound.
The exhaust does not sound tinny or rattly. If it does, it's very minimal.
What I do notice is that the droning has disappeared.
I do hear minor back pressure changes, a poof sound, somewhat like a very muffled back fire when decelerating.
