so i bought a test pipe to pair up with my dual invidia q300 and now it is extremely loud and vtec sounds so raspy is this norml ive been running this set up for about 400 miles hopping it was going to quiet down

 

Sounds normal to me. Had invidia n1 dual. Super duper loud and droney. Added a tp to clean up drone and boom. It did some but made it raspy as hell. Took it off next day.

 

out of interest, why would you think it would quieten down after time?

 

It just does, i have second Q300 with TP and after 200+ kms it will quiet down heaps... after 500 i would say it will be as good as it gets.

 

It doesn't. You just lose hearing after time.

its the test pipe ,,,loose that pos , pollutes the air for little gains ...get High Flow Cat ....so much better and the sound is amazing , not like that drone your set up makes ...best of luck , go buy a hfc , you won't be sorry

When you lose part of your hearing, the whole world tends to quiet down a lot. Then when you get old, you spend $5K for hearing aids so you can hear those loud exhausts again.
