i have a invidia tp that i got awhile ago, i ran it without the cel fix for about 2 weeks then i finally have time to put it back on. during these months ive reset my ecu twice and it always came back up "cel"

btw i have a 07

only engine mods i have are snorkel, tp, hks hi-power

anyone else have this problem?

i remeber hearin nichigo have this problem with his berk but ...

I have the same problem with my berk test pipe in my MY06. Installed it (has built in CEL fix), drove fine for about 70 miles then the CEL popped on. Just installed the two anti-foulers (if you don't know what that is just run a search, tons of posts about them) and still no luck getting rid of the CEL. Haven't reset my ECU yet, trying to avoid that.

 

someone with an 06+ had 4 anti-foulers without a cel.

 

It is a common thing with the 06+. I just got a obdII scanner and reset it everytime it happens.

 

how much is an obdII scanner? wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to just get anti foulers?

 

hrm... I got 4 anti-foulers on with the CEL fix on the berk's and I'm still throwing a CEL. It seems as if the 06+ are very finicky with aftermarket testpipes.

I'm running invidia testpipe with cel fix. Cel came on after 30 miles. Installed 3 non-foulers...

Took it to advanced auto parts since my ECU was not resetting properly. They cleared the cell and i've been 250 miles without the Cel coming back on. I would try to find a place that can clear the Cel with an Obd2 scanner. Resetting the ECU did not work for me no matter how many times i tried.

However it is illegal for them to clear it for you. Since its free for them to scan your car, keep trying.

 

I ran 2 defoulers and still had cel

Now with 3 defoulers and no cel for about 1k miles

 

For you 06-08 S2000 owners..... get our HFC instead. The new DBW cars are much harder to trick than the throttle cable motors.
