I have a 63mm T1R testpipe with o2 bung attached for easy installation and no cel light. I only want $65shipped.

well if he is behind you at a stop light, you can't just shut your car off. So.... I might go with the hi flow cat with the Greddy SE Dual.
LAMFO bro hes not gonna know. People have been running test pipes for years and no one cares or even thinks to check. Most cops dont even shit about car to begin with.
^ I agree, a cop won't pull u over for having a test pipe. He won't know u have one unless he physically inspects the bottom of the car, which never happens, too much work lol

Anyway, I was debating myself between getting a HFC or a Test pipe. HFC by BERK seems great but it won't pass smog, I've started a thread on that. I am now leaning toward a test pipe w/cel fix

My last car had a testpipe and a mild exhaust that is probably similar to a legalis r...I got pulled over like 50ft away from my house and the cop made me pop the hood (didn't see much haha) but then he got out his mirror and looked under the car. He told me that is gonna cost a couple thousand and require a ref inspection, he ended up letting me off with a warning and said if he ever caught me again he would throw me the book. I saw the cop and I wasn't messing around, he said that he saw a puff of smoke as I drove up a hill which made him suspect.

I have a hfc on this car now. It smelled at first after hard runs, now that its tuned I never smell it ever.

Edit:
You don't put a testpipe or hfc on for peak power because you probably won't get much. With tuning you can lower the vtec a thousand or so rpm and that will get you around 15 to the wheels around 5.5k rpm.

The drawbacks aren't worth the additional 1.3HP you're going to pick up at 8000rpms. A HFC is a better option, especially if you'd like to stay on the right side of the law.

That and when I looked at the Berk HFC....I believe it said it's 49 state legal. Won't help if your in CA...but I think is the best option. May in fact be my next mod.

1.3 apparently you have not been looking threw the na section often. People with a 3 inch test pipe and exhaust are making pretty decent gains when lowering the vtec and tuning.
