Default Thinking aloud

With all the cooling plates and stuff out there I would just like to see someone take on a different panel.......

The big plastic panel up by the windshield that chanels water away from the wipers and grabs some fresh air for the defroster seems to be built in such a way as to bottle up as much heat as possible under the hood. It looks like it would be hard to make one that would bottle up any more heat than stock, and creating at least SOME airflow would not be that hard.

I wish there was a panel out there that would still allow air to be taken in by the defroster and chanel rain water somewhere but have grooves or something to let hot air flow out from under the hood without having to go the vented hood route.

I am not saying this would be earth shattering in terms of temp reduction but every little bit helps and with people paying a couple hundred for up front cooling plates, it seem that they might be willing to pay the same couple hundred to keep heat down, especially those of us with FI.

If somebody already makes one, please point me to it.

Just a thought.
