Well I ended up going with the Optima yellow. Buddy of mine used his employee discount and I paid $140 out the door. Cheapest dealership price I found was $105+ tax for a diehard "made for Honda"; dealership was a 20min drive and my buddy was a one mile drive. Half of the feedback I got for the Optima was great, other half hated it so fingers crossed I guess. Hopefully it either fails within the 3 year warranty period or last 5+ years. My car's got a bit of electronics and a sensitive alarm system so I'm not expecting a 10 yr. life. . .

Scott: wish I would've read your post yesterday! haha

Not a huge fan of Optima batteries here. I usually go to O'Rileys or Advance and get the battery that's got the best warranty - even in my Time Trials car I'm not worried about weight too much.

Battery replacement is as much philosophy as technology. Depending on your budget, a lot of good choices exist from Kirkland to Odyssey. Personally the two areas I'm rather lavish on are tires and batteries. I replace my Odysseys (PC680 in the AP2, PC925 in my CL9) every 3 years or so when the load test shows some decline.

It's a real buzz kill to need a jump start on your way home from the club after picking up a smokin' hot chick.

It's a buzz kill even without. At least with you have someone to help you push start.
