I've only had problems with Optima when I let the car sit and die, which makes it my fault. If it didn't recharge, I took it back to the shop I bought it and it was replaced either 100% or pro-rated depending on the age of the batt.

I just replaced my 05 OEM battery about 2 months ago. I replaced it with the OEM one. Based on cost and use, it just seemed like the best choice.
Wow, where did you find the OEM battery?????? I've even searched the web for the PANASONIC to no avail. Now, I must admit, the battery sold by my dealer would have been a pretty good deal ($110 installed with a very good warranty). I believe that the battery was built by Exidy. Many if not most auto parts stores will install your battery for free also so......
Sorry, guess I should say I got a Honda replacement battery which is probably a Delco.

Just to add to the don't spend $200 and buy an optimum battery. My 7 year old battery's negative terminal literally just came off when I tried to clean the terminal.
