Default Toda cams

looking at getting high profile toda cams pretty soon.
atm I'm think of getting in B2 : 250(11.0) / 302(13.2) / 250(11.0) ex B2 : 250(11.0) / 292(12.7) / 250(11.0)
Does anyone know if I can use other brands than Toda valve springs or does it have to be Toda springs? Also are the cam gears essential? I know it does wonder on some cars but would like to know if it's worth getting the cam gears as well?
I will go for full motor rebuild and ITBs at some stage but just wanna tweak the motor little bit before spending $$$$...

I used a Supertech 82lb seat pressure dual springs/retainer/spring base kit.

Cam gears are not essential but useful to provide some adjustment for optimising tune or to work around piston/valve clearance issues.

I would also use a new timing chain and tensioner as the heavier springs and more aggressive cam profile will make a stretched chain rattle like mad.
