I launch around 8.... feather your clutch dude.
You feather the clutch while launching at 8k? Do you replace your clutch every month?

I would much rather side-step and break the tires loose.

X2

Although, I haven't launched mine hard and probably never will. Way to many threads on broken diffs and it's being build for spirited driving and road courses.

Did anyone else notice that their car spins more off the line with any of the torque dampers on the market?? I love it and think it's a great addition to the car.. I was just wondering if I'm the only one who is having this happen..
I only lanuch my car during autocross and even that I'm lanuching at 4k rpm. So I didn't have the experiences of wheel spinning during launching.
But I do get more wheel spins at shifting from 1->2 at full accelaration. But I never thought it's because of the TD before you mentioned about it. I was thinking the tires are wearing fast after 1k miles. lol

not to be negative, but in my opinion, it's all in your head. i think these things are just bling. i have spoon engine/trans mounts, and a j's racing solid diff mount... and i can't feel too much of a difference traction-wise. shifting is definitely more solid though--that is for sure. but as for the damper, i didn't feel any difference, and the engine still moves, though less.... after all the stuff the torque must be transfered through, i really don't think there's any difference at the tire. anyway, just my opinion.

1)70% agree
2)50% agree
3)95% agree

To further try to figure out this questions, I went to the storage and pull my S out since today is above freezing degree in an advanture of TD testing.

I didn't switch on any radio or music for the whole drive. One thing I'm 100% sure is, the chasis rattle from the engine (during idle at stop lights)is definitely more noticable. In my little brother's word, "Brother, you car shakes a lot, is it too cold outside for her?"

Hope the more shaky chasis means the TD is doing it's work.

weather is changing and tires are colder. thus not as sticky. there is your wheel spin!
