is this the case?
No. It will likely sound even better. I run the hi power with the 63mm berk hfc. However the hfcs seem to be notorious for the catalyst material coming loose and rattling from wear and age. It sounds like a heatsheild rattle but much quieter, i've only really noticed it when revving while stopped and on some more or less aggresive upshifts between 3-6k. My hfc has only been on the car for about a year as well. Honestly its not as bad as youre probably thinking it is right now but it makes me self conscious about revving up the car when people want to hear what it sounds like.

No it isn't raspy. It will be louder than the stock cat but by how much i'm not sure because I bought the car with it on already. When i'm a little less lazy i'll upload the vid of the rattle. Otherwise this is what it will sound like. This is a good example of when you can't hear the rattle btw.
